In Lamentations 3:51 we read the striking phrase Mine eye affecteth mine heart. How true this statement remains today! We are constantly moved—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—by what we see. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a well-produced
video can be exponentially more impactful. One does not have to look far to see the immense power of visual media in modern culture.
At BIMI, we recognize that visual media is a
vital part of presenting a missionary's calling and ministry. The quality of this media has the power to either greatly
hinder the impact of a presentation or
propel its effectiveness into a great response.
As a mission board entrusted with caring for our missionaries, we must utilize the power of visual media to
"affect" the local church. Our goal is to inspire and engage churches to support the Great Commission by partnering with those whom God has called to the uttermost parts of the Earth.
The BIMI Media Department supports many aspects of our ministry. We work hard to produce the following:
• Missionary Presentation Videos — Clear, compelling videos to introduce missionaries and their fields.
• Mission Field Updates — Timely reports to keep supporters informed and engaged.
• Training Resources — Materials to equip our missionaries for effective ministry.
• Special Event Highlights — Coverage of events like CAMP BIMI.
• Podcasts and Radio Productions — Moments for Missions Podcast and Radio spot with more audio outreach planned!
Social media is a huge part of our modern culture, and we strive to leverage it to help our missionaries build lasting connections with their supporting churches. We also use these platforms to encourage the
next generation of future missionaries to follow God’s call!
What is now called visual media was once known as the "Audio/Visual" Department here at BIMI. Always striving to help the missionary share his burden effectively, we led the way in missionary
slideshow presentations under the leadership of Don Arnold. As technology changed and video equipment became more accessible, so too did the presentations.
Time and technology have steadily marched on, and BIMI continues to look to the future to seek out the knowledge of witty inventions and to capitalize on the use of technology to
further the cause of the Great Commission.
You can partner with us to ensure this essential ministry continues to impact the global outreach of BIMI in the following ways:
• Supporting the Media Department financially.
• Sponsoring a Missionary by donating toward their media package.
• Following BIMI on our social accounts and like and share our posts with others!
