Michael and Megan grew up in broken homes without Christian guidance. God brought them together in South Florida while in high school. In 2013 they joined themselves together in marriage. Michael was saved while serving in the United States Navy on board the USS
Benfold, DDG 65. Megan was later saved in January of 2016. God led them out of the military and to their first church home Victory Baptist Church in Cocoa, Florida. There they were baptized and discipled.
In 2016 while pursuing his dream career in Florida Fish and Wildlife, Michael felt the call to preach. He surrendered to this call shortly after. Forsaking his dream career, selling their home, and leaving their extended families in 2019, the Barbers left Florida for Bible college in Tennessee.
While still finishing at The Crown College of the Bible in 2022, Michael took his first full-time position as Assistant Pastor of Fair Havens Independent Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He graduated with a Masters of Ministry and the Lord used him in assisting his pastor to build a bus ministry from scratch, seeing countless souls saved. He was ordained at Victory Baptist Church in June 2022. In addition to Bible college and military experience, Michael has received a Bachelor's of Organizational Management from Eastern Florida State College. Megan continues to faithfully serve the Lord next to her husband and her family as a homemaker while also pursuing a Bible education.
