We are Dan, Heidi, Kierstyn, Ty and Cody Gardner. We are missionaries in Okinawa Japan, sent out of the Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA.
In 2001, we came to Okinawa and co-started the Shinko Baptist Church with my parents, who have been missionaries in Japan since 1977. In 2018, we transitioned from the leadership at Shinko Baptist Church, to start the Seaside Baptist Church. This church is in the city of Nago where there is only one other Independent Baptist Church in a city of about 40,000 people.
