Manny was saved in 2002 and baptized at Woodin Valley Baptist Church in Bothell, Washington. As a child, he said more than once, "I think God wants me to be a missionary," but it was at Bible college when he finally submitted to God’s will. During his junior year, the Lord used Manny’s interest in Native Americans to develop a burden in his heart. After a process of prayer and exposure to preaching, the Lord led him to pursue missions among the Navajo. Kate was saved in 2004 and baptized at Victory Baptist Church in Londonderry, New Hampshire. She wanted to be in ministry since childhood, but did not have a burden for a specific place. Manny and Kate met at Heartland Baptist Bible College, where Manny pursued a pastoral degree and Kate studied to be a teacher. As the Lord drew the two together, Manny shared his heart for the Navajo. Kate was thrilled to support him and serve the Lord in this way. After graduating and getting married in 2022, they moved to Chesapeake, Virginia, where they serve at Great Hope Baptist Church as missions interns and prepare to be sent out to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona.
