Kerri Phillips was born in Augusta, GA. She was saved at Trinity Baptist Church, at the age of fifteen after hearing a message on having a head knowledge of Christ or a heart knowledge of Christ. She surrendered her life to missions, and attended Atlantic Baptist Bible College in 2003, graduating in 2005. She then began teaching at Great Hope Baptist Church to prepare to teach on the mission field. The Lord directed her life towards Uganda in 2008. She is very thankful how the Lord has moved in her life, and used many stepping-stones to help her follow that Lord to serve Him in Soroti, Uganda. Kerri has been a Christian School teacher at Soroti Orphan Assistance Project since August 2010. They currently have 39 orphans that they care for their needs, while pointing them to Christ. She count it a true blessing to assist church planters by discipling new Christians and directing the Children's Ministries at Independent Baptist Church of Soroti. Kerri feels truly blessed by the Lord to be able to impact orphaned children and ladies of Uganda for the Glory of God!
