Matthew was saved and baptized in 1982 at Liberty Baptist Church, Dunreith, Indiana. Lorna was saved in 1991 at United Baptist Church and baptized in Montúfar Bible Baptist Church in Costa Rica. Matthew was called to serve in Costa Rica in 2007 and moved there in 2008. In 2001, God called Lorna to full-time work in a missions' conference. She started working in Montúfar Baptist Church and in Santiago del Monte Baptist Church. Matthew and Lorna met in Santiago del Monte Baptist Church in 2008 where Lorna was working. Matthew had just started working next door at the Lighthouse Children's Home. Matthew and Lorna were married in 2009. Lorna worked as a teacher in the Lighthouse Children's home from 2009-2012. Matthew has served in children's church, bus ministries, VBS, Sunday school, teen camps, visitation, and Bible studies. Lorna has worked in VBS, Sunday school, and Bible Club Ministries. Lorna is a homemaker taking care of their daughters Katelyn and Abigail, and she helps at Lighthouse Children's Home. She develops lessons and translates material from English into Spanish. In 2022, God called Matthew to start a church plant in Orosi, Costa Rica. Matthew and Lorna are presently working full-time at the church in Orosi.
