The Philip Pope family began serving in Thailand in 1978. During their 17 years on the field, the Lord blessed with the starting of 3 churches. They were home on medical furlough for 17 years, getting therapy for their youngest son, Weston. During that time, the national pastors were used by God to start an additional 7 churches (4 in Thailand, 1 in Laos and 2 in Myanmar).
Since 2012 the Popes have returned to Thailand for about 6 months out of each year. On these trips they have been involved in visiting the churches, teaching Bible Institute material and doing translation work.
