Cathy Jo Demcak #1689

Raised in a Christian home, Cathy Jo Demcak realized her need for salvation and accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of four. From a young age, she loved reading missionary biographies. God started giving her a passion for children's ministries when she helped start a neighborhood Bible club. Later, she joined Treasure Valley Baptist Church and was thrilled to serve in their bus ministry. During a missions conference in 2019, God called her to be a missionary. Later, God used a missions trip to the Amazon and Colombia to specifically direct her to Colombia, a country in desperate need of the Gospel. While studying in the Bible institute and teaching at a Christian school, she had the privilege of spending her summers helping church-planting missionaries in Colombia and of seeing God do marvelous things. This further cemented His will for her life and taught her that despite the challenges, the greatest joy comes from serving God and being in His will. Cathy Jo is excited to return full time to share the Gospel in Colombia, a people and a country who have captured her heart.
