The Potential of Partnership

An experiment was conducted comparing a draft horse’s individual pulling power with that of a team. Eight thousand pounds was the maximum a single animal could pull, but two horses working together pulled up to thirty-two thousand pounds! The synergy of teamwork accomplished more than individual effort.

Whether parenting, playing sports, or participating in missions, the principle is the same. More can be accomplished by working together. Ecclesiastes 4:9a and 4:12b say two are better than one . . . and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. God did not intend for you to fulfill your calling alone. He has provided partnerships in the ministry.

Our greatest partner is the Lord For we are labourers together with God (1 Corinthians 3:9). But there are other partners needed such as your spouse, sending church, and supporting churches. One important partner to have is a good mission board.
