Francisco & Megan Mendez #1725

Francisco was saved in 2013 and baptized at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was only a year later at camp that he surrendered to full-time missions. After graduating high school, Francisco started full-time at Mount Calvary Baptist Institute and served faithfully in the ministries of that church. Megan was saved in 2005 and baptized at Southeast Bible Baptist Church in Penfield, New York. She had a desire to be a missionary since surrendering her life to the Lord during a youth group message at her church in 2012. God later called her to full-time missions at summer camp in 2022. The Lord used a missions trip in November 2022 to allow Francisco and Megan to meet. This trip is where the Lord put the Samaná Peninsula, mainly the town of Sánchez, Dominican Republic, on Francisco's heart. The trip showed Megan the need for the Gospel and church plants in the Samaná region and increased her burden for the Spanish-speaking people. It was the following year that Francisco and Megan would start a relationship that led them to getting married in 2025. They are now serving together at Southeast Bible Baptist Church, Penfield, New York.
