Anguilla

In the late 1960s Missionary Freeman Goodge arrived on the island of Anguilla. In those early days no electricity or paved roads accessed the area where he started Island Harbor Baptist Church. From that fishing village the Gospel of Jesus Christ permeated the island of Anguilla. Today two sizable fundamental Baptist churches are reaching the people of Anguilla. Over time, the island has become a tourist attraction. Several large resorts have altered the cultural climate of this island that at one time was serene and quiet. Because of these and other influences associated with an influx of tourism, the need of the Gospel is great on this island of about 12,000 people.
