Emily was saved at the age of 21 and she began serving the Lord in Botswana with her parents. In 2021, Emily surrendered to the call of missions on her life and continued serving in Botswana as a co-laborer at Grace Baptist Church in Gaborone, Botswana. Shane was saved at the age of 27, and in 2019 he surrendered to preach and to give his life to missions. He continued to serve under his pastor at Independent Baptist Church in Pretoria, South Africa. Shane led a missions’ trip to Botswana in November 2022 and teamed up with the church in which Emily was serving. Over the next few months, Shane and Emily spent time getting to know each other and it was obvious that God had paired this couple together with His own hands. Their love for Christ, missions, and the people of Africa is what really brought them closer. In March, the couple became engaged, and then Shane left for a month-long missions’ trip to Uganda. On June 15, 2023, the couple married in Botswana. Shane and Emily plan to serve in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
