Since 1992, Eric and Lori Bohman have served with BIMI as church-planting missionaries in Kenya and later in Tanzania. Together with their national leadership, the Bohmans helped to establish nearly two-dozen churches. Besides church planting, the Bohmans helped to establish two Bible institutes, Bible studies for the deaf, feeding centers, and a Christian nursery school.

As the Africa Director, Eric takes several trips to Africa each year to assist the nationals in church-planting work, as well as visiting the on-field missionaries, leading survey trips with potential missionaries, holding regional field conferences, and surveying new countries for future missionary work.

When stateside, Eric is active in the leadership at BIMI through teaching and advising missionaries, speaking in colleges on the opportunities in Africa, and preaching in conferences on the needs of missions around the world.

The Bohmans' burden is for this generation to see missionaries enter every potential field in Africa. The continent is vast: there are fifty-four African nations and eight territories. There are still many places without a clear Gospel voice! Pray with the Bohmans for more laborers to bring the light of the Gospel to the Dark Continent.
