CONNECT BOLIVIA in conjunction with Amazon for Christ will continue the mission of the Great Physician as they travel by plane, bus, and boat into one of the least reached areas of the world. The CONNECT BOLIVIA Team will work in conjunction with missionaries and national pastors to evangelize and lay groundwork for a new church plant using mobile medical clinics. Providing medical care can be a key to open doors in areas otherwise left closed to the Gospel message.
Bolivia is one of nine South American countries which share the Amazon Basin. The Amazon holds the largest concentration of uncontacted people anywhere on earth. The BOLIVIA CONNECT Team will be traveling to villages in the state of Beni, considered the least evangelized corner of Bolivia. The people of Beni are settled in small towns and fishing villages among indigenous tribes. We will focus our work on the city of Trinidad and also the village of Magdalena where Spanish is the predominate language.
CONNECT BOLIVIA will be hosted by BIMI Missionaries Jake Wiebe, Luke Marie, and Ernesto Salvatierra along with several national pastors. The team will assist the Salvatierra family to establish their first church plant where there are currently no Baptist churches.
CONNECT BOLIVIA team members will have a choice to meet in Chattanooga on August 10 and fly with the group or to have their flight booked from their closest major airport directly to Bolivia, meeting the group there. Upon making the $100 deposit, each participant will receive a handbook detailing pertinent information to help prepare for the trip. Additional money may be brought along for activities, gifts, or souvenirs.
Special Requirements: Ages 16 to 65 in good physical health — Medical training is welcome but not required. (Note: 16 to 17-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent.)
Needed Documentation: Valid Passport and Bolivian Tourist Visa
