CONNECT GUYANA in conjunction with Amazon for Christ will continue the mission of the Great Physician as the team of medical personnel and evangelists travel via plane, bus, and boat to one of the least reached areas of the world. Med-Evangelism helps open up new areas for the Gospel and church planting. The CONNECT GUYANA Team will also work in conjunction with missionaries and national pastors to reach children by evangelizing in the public schools and holding Vacation Bible Schools.

The CONNECT GUYANA Team will experience several aspects of missionary work unique to the Amazon as they experience the Amazon people’s unique hospitality. The Amazon holds the largest concentration of uncontacted people found anywhere on earth. Guyana is also home to the largest group of Hindus in the Western Hemisphere. One unique aspect of work in this South American country is that the people of Guyana predominately speak English as their official language. CONNECT GUYANA will be hosted by BIMI Missionaries Noel Shrivnauth, Robert Cepec, and Mark Mariner along with their families. The team will also be working with several national pastors.

CONNECT GUYANA Team members will have a choice to meet in Chattanooga on September 1 and fly with the group or to have their flight booked from their closest major airport directly to Guyana, meeting the group there. Upon making the $100 deposit, each participant will receive a handbook detailing pertinent information to help prepare for the trip. Additional money may be brought along for activities, gifts, or souvenirs.
