This church planting survey trip is to assess the church planting need in New England and Eastern Canada. For airline connections please use Bradley International in Hartford, CT. PLEASE NOTE: Airfare to and from your location to Bradley International is NOT INCLUDED in the total price of this trip. There will be shuttle service available to transport team members to the starting point and back to the airport at the conclusion of the trip. If you are driving to our starting point, please let us know your approximate arrival time. Team members will experience late summer weather in the Northeast United States and eastern Canada with temperatures ranging from 50 degrees at night to daytime highs in the 80s. There will be various stops on this trip to meet with church planters and missionaries as the team makes their way north into Canada. Once in Canada the team will be part of a BIMI Far North Field Conference. The need for church planting missionaries in New England and all of Canada and the Far North region is crucial.
Team members will be involved in Gospel literature distribution and conducting an encouragement ministry among missionaries and men who are ministering in New England and Eastern Canada. In addition, members of the team should be able to share their salvation testimony in a group setting and how this trip sparked their interest in the region of New England and Canada.
The team will meet with Dr. Jim Townsley former pastor and church planter in Southington, CT to discuss challenges and opportunities concerning church planting in New England. Other opportunities include meeting with Pastor Joel Boyle the current pastor of Central Baptist Church in Southington. You will learn about the church planters that Central Baptist Church has sent out to New England, and we will visit at least two of those plants where we can assist in literature distribution. The team will also spend a day assisting BIMI Reseeding America Missionary Anthony Frazer who will be in the beginning stages of launching City Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Traveling north into Canda we will spend several days at Faithway Baptist Church in Ajax, Ontario where Eric Leveille is now the pastor. Brother Leveille is a former BIMI Missionary and planted a church in Laval, Quebec . During our stay at Faithway a BIMI mini field conference will be held for Far North Missionaries with BIMI. Team members will have an opportunity to meet BIMI missionaries and hear about their ministries.
An interest in New England church planting and mission work in Canada would be a plus.
A desire to learn about church planting in the United States and Canada from experienced men of God.
